 Salt Dough Creations

 Hand/Foot Art Picture 

Things You Need....

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1/4 cup salt

  • 7 tbsp water

  • Your little ones hands or feet

  • Cookie cutters

  • Craft paint

  • Ribbon , Straw & Accessories

Things You Need....

  • Baby wipes

  • Craft paint

  • Craft paper

  • Googly Eyes & Accessories

  • Your little ones hands or feet

Let The Fun Begin....

1. Preheat oven to 300°F.​

​

2. Mix together flour, salt, and water.

 

3. Knead for 15 minutes.

 

4. Roll out the dough to no more than 1/4-     inch thick, You can either put the little ones hand/foot on them to make hand print ornaments or choose your chosen cookie cutter to make your shaped ornament.

 

5. Just a Tip: When your Pressing your child’s hand into the dough If you’re doing this with really little ones, you may have to go back and make deeper impressions of their hands with your fingers or a kitchen utensil–the deeper the impression, the better your ornaments will turn out when baked.

 

6. Use a straw to poke a hole in each dough this is where the ribbon will go later if you wish to have a hanging ornament.

7. Place the dough ornaments on a baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes, until golden do keep checking as many ovens have different settings.

​

8. Take them out of the oven, wait for ornaments to cool, then paint , accessorize as desired then thread a ribbon through each straw hole to create your hanging ornament if not put it were you want to display.

NOTE: Very fun , cheap & can be done for any occasion ( Easter , Christmas ect )

Let The Fun Begin....

1. Have the craft paper ready.

​

2. Get the craft paint & paint which ever hand/foot you desire , both if you wish.

 

3. Put the chosen painted hand/foot on the craft paper to make your print , you can either have your print normal way up or upside down.

 

4.Let your picture dry for 5-10 minutes whilst your waiting use a baby wipe to remove any excess paint on the hand/foot as later you will be able to wash once your Hand/Foot Art Picture is finished. 

 

5. Once the picture is dry , Use your googly eyes & accessories to make your animated picture, You can also make prints for any occasion.

NOTE: Very fun , cheap & can be done for any occasion ( Easter , Christmas ect )
