Alzheimer's Awareness

So this blog is very close to my heart! It's about Alzheimer's Awareness it's such a very sad illness to have and die with! My grandad had Vascular Dementia & was dying due to neglect still under investigation nearly a year after he died still all the family hasn't been able to grieve properly over his loss! At times it hurt so bad to see my grandad forget or not remember things or going back in time telling us stories and memories which Some was quite distressing and upsetting! I wanted to write a blog to raise awareness of Vascular Dementia in memory of my grandad as there isn't alot of talk about this subject.

Vascular dementia, also known as multi-infarct dementia (MID) and vascular cognitive impairment (VCI), is dementia caused by problems in the supply of blood to the brain, typically a series of minor strokes, leading to worsening cognitive decline that occurs step by step resulting to death within 4 years of diagnosis but it can vary to how bad the person has it.
