So I was dreading writing this post as I hardly tell anyone what I have to face everyday! I was diagnosed with PCOS ( Poly Cystic Ovaries ) at 21, I thought I was pregnant but was told this instead. From there I had many ops and treatments along the way ( Ovarian Drilling, Womb Swept & Many fertility tablets which ended me in hospital due to not being observed and my ovaries swelled up & nearly killed me ) Also on top of that I was told I wasn’t able to conceive even with fertility treatment ( Obviously I know different now as I have 2 beautiful baby’s ) I wanted to write this blog as i wanted many other women who wanted baby's and was told otherwise that it can happen. I was quick to learn about the many symptoms PCOS can give you ( Some people get lucky! The odd few unlucky women like myself get many BUT not all of them )
Irregular or no menstrual periods and heavy periods ( Yup! Irregular & Heavy )
Excess body and facial hair (Yup)
Acne (Yup)
Pelvic pain (Yup)
Difficulty getting pregnant (Yup, was told never)
Patches of thick, darker, velvety skin (Nope I was lucky with this one)

Well as from the picture in this blog?! On my face is shaving foam and I have to shave my face like a Male because i have hair on my neck and face which grows each day, dark and thick and embarrassing ( NHS won’t cover or help to fund some treatment for this , yet they will fund idiotic individuals for boob jobs & more ) since I went on the implant after having my second baby it all went downhill from there the hair is a lot more thicker and a lot more darker it shows up more due to my Spanish & dark haired blood lines. It’s so sad to wake up in the morning look into the mirror and see the hair has come back as stubble and you need to get rid of it as if people see it they may ask , laugh and mock! Well Iv done this blog to stand up for other women who have PCOS and to say you shouldn’t have to be ashamed of a medical illness which isn’t your fault you should embrace the look and if you want to wax , shave or get rid of the hair you do that! And I would say speak to someone about it , as many have become depressed over it and are at there wits end.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a set of symptoms due to elevated androgens (male hormones) in women. If you need more information don’t hesitate to check this website > http://www.pcosaa.org/pcos-symptoms/
