With the worry’s and stresses of the day to day lifestyles for most of us parents we may be doing stuff what we don’t notice until we stop still and have a minute to ourselves. I realised I had a problem when I did stop still and unwind when having a bath! I noticed my jaw was like a locked jaw dog, Meaning when I went to move my jaw it felt locked and I had ear/jaw ache plus my teeth were stuck together without me even realising! I went to the dentist for a routine appointment and I discovered I had “ Bruxism “ and that I had to have my teeth moulded to make a tooth guard to stop this problem from occurring frequently and help my jaw and ear calm down from being so inflamed and swollen!

The mouth guard has been working well for me and I feel more relaxed in the mouth department but for other aspects in my body I’m still quite stressed but that’s life! You just got to keep carrying on.
Teeth grinding (bruxism)
( Teeth grinding and jaw clenching (also called bruxism) is often related to stress or anxiety )
It doesn't always cause symptoms but some people get facial pain and headaches, and it can wear down your teeth over time. Most people who grind their teeth and clench their jaw aren't aware they're doing it. It often happens during sleep or while concentrating or under stress.
